The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. It uses a timer to break work into intervals—traditionally 25 minutes in length—separated by short breaks.
Each interval is known as a "pomodoro" (from the Italian word for tomato, after the tomato-shaped kitchen timer Cirillo used as a university student). After four pomodoros, you take a longer break of 15–30 minutes.
1. Start a Focus session and work without distractions for 25 minutes. 2. When the timer ends, take a 5-minute Short Break. 3. After completing 4 focus sessions, reward yourself with a Long Break. You can customize all timer durations in the Settings panel above.
