Tired of the same ground beef recipes??? Me too! I made Korean Beef tonight. Soo good and usually you have all the ingredients on hand.
I did not have the green onion or the red pepper flakes. (The flakes do give it a little kick that I like) We did without tonight and still tasted good! I used more of some things but honestly I think you can make it your own with what your family likes.
Recipe below:
-1 pound lean ground beef 90% lean
-3 garlic cloves minced (I used way more..lol)
-1/4 cup packed brown sugar
-1/4 cup reduced-sodium or regular soy sauce
-2 teaspoons sesame oil
-1/4 teaspoon ground ginger (I used fresh, grated ginger)
-1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
-1/4 teaspoon pepper
-2 cups hot cooked white or brown rice (I made 3 cups for my family size)
-sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
1. In a large skillet cook the ground beef and garlic breaking it into crumbles over medium heat until no longer pink.
2. In a small bowl whisk brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, red pepper flakes and pepper. Pour over the ground beef and let simmer for another minute or two.
3. Serve over hot rice and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

It’s a pretty quick and easy recipe that taste good and doesn’t cost a lot to make. Plus it beats your regular tacos, spaghetti, meatloaf, ect all the time.

I do something similar … I add a diced onion to the ground beef while frying… Definitely stretches the meat….

My family does this often. We eat it with Lettuce as a wrap. And pickled radishes!!! Soo good

  3. I love this meal! It’s also good with roasted cauliflower and broccoli instead of the rice.
