Would that work with pulled chicken as we do not eat pork in our house
I just dry rub it, dump a dr pepper in the crock , add sweet baby rays and wait til done, its magic.
I have the recipe book
I just do a bottle of bbq sauce and a bottle of coke
Pioneer woman has one too, it calls for chipotle peppers with adobo if you like spicy
You can also use Cola, name brand or generic. Only thing is it must NOT be diet anything.
I didn’t post but this is the one I use. I just dump everything in all together and use a sirloin pork roast.
Dr pepper and sweet baby rays
Type in recipe for dr pepper pulled pork

I’ve used Dr Pepper on a beef roast too before great flavour!!!
pork butt…add bbq rub…can of dr pepper cook on low 8-10hrs.or till internal temp is 200 and the meat pulls away from the bone
We used root beer and it was the best pulled pork I’ve ever had!
I didn’t post, but make it often.
Cook your roast in the Dr. pepper, drain excess liquid when cooked and add BBQ sauce
I used this recipe and it was suuuuper delicious! What we didn’t eat got put into 3 separate ziploc bags to use for later meals.

I put my pork in the slow cooker with a bottle of root beer. When it’s done I drain the root beer, shred the pork and add our favorite BBQ sauce (Diana) and let it cook for another 30 minutes or so. Its delicious and the only way I’ll make pulled pork. Been doing it for years.
Anytime we cook a chunk of meat in the crockpot,we add a can of Dr Pepper. It’s always good and always moist.
Its just a bottle of Dr. Pepper and a bottle of sweet babys ray BBQ sause!
Dr pepper and root beer work great. I cover 3/4 of my roast with it and season, drain it off when it’s done, mix barbecue sauce and add back a bit of the liquid.
Yes, made it last week. Super easy. Can of Dr. Pepper in the slow cooker with your pork, drain then add bbq sauce and simmer after shredding.
