We make Frizzled Round steak. Slice in strips, coat with flour(salt and pepper), fry on both sides. Add a cup of cup of water, beef bouillon, and a couple of Tablespoons of soy sauce. Simmer until sauce thickens and strips are tender. Add more soy sauce to taste. Serve over rice or potatoes. I also like to add broccoli

We had it earlier this week. Mix together onion soup mix and a can of cream of mushroom soup. Cut the round steak in serving size pieces and put it in a crock pot. Spread the soup mixture on top. Cook on low for 6 hours. Delicious!
Saute mushrooms & onions in butter. Tenderize the steak while they are cooking. Remove the onions & mushrooms from the pan then fry the steak in the same butter, Pour mushrooms over the steak when it is done. So good. I also have fried the steak and poured mushroom soup over it when it’s nearly done.
Swiss steak … delicious
There is an awesome receipe on the Betty Crocker website for pepper steak! Its one of my favorites!!!
pound it out, thin, wrap piece of bacon and quartered onions, secure with toothpick. sear on all sides, add a smidge of water and slow cook for 30 minutes, browning and add in tiny amounts of water til tender. Aunt Ann called them “BIRDS’, I call them delicious. Serve with rice mashed or baked. So good
Southern pepper steak. Cube and brown 1 1/2 lbs round steak then add 2 chopped green peppers 2 cans stewed tomatoes 2 can cream of onion simmer 20 minutes server over uncle Ben’s Flavored rice. Delish! If you can’t find cream of onion use cream of celery and use onion powder.
Pound out then dip in flour w salt and pepper fry in pan flip to other side fry till browned. Make gravy w left if gravy in pan. One of my mother’s favorite
Cut peppers and an onion up and Sautee in butter and garlic. When they are almost done throw thin straps of meat into it until meat is cooked. Then you kinda have fajitas
Slice meat in thin strips or cubes and put in bowl .. mix some oil vinegar soy sauce seasonings together – pour over meat and mix to coat meat cover and refrigerate overnight .. next day drain marinade and use to make kabobs or stirfries
Ok, this will sound weird but it’s awesome! Cut round steak into bite sized pieces, add one can of cheddar cheese soup with one can of tomato sauce to your slow cooker. Add some salt and garlic power. Cook for 4 hours high, 6 hours low. Serve over rice. We call it saucy beef and it is one of my husband’s favorite childhood foods!!
If on the thicker side I make a mixture of regular cooking oil and Worcestershire sauce add it to a plastic storage bag add the round steak lay flat and turn it often make sure the mixture is covering the steak…then I broil it
The round steak needs to be partially frozen so you can cut it in thin strips for a stir fry meal. I marinate mine in Lawry’s Teriyaki marinade. While that’s happening I cut up peppers, onions, mushrooms…any veggies of your choice, add fresh minced garlic and/or freshly grated ginger root. Sautée meat first, then add veggies, stir until crisp tenders and mix with meat. I add 1-2 tablespoons of Lawry’s Marinade, heat through and serve over rice or noodles.
Round Steak, Cream of Mushroom Soup, Lipton Dry Onion Soup, 1/2 Tbsp Garlic Powder and a bit of beef broth to thin it out. Cook until steak is tender. We love it with rice and a veggie.
I make an americanized version of Ropa veja.

Slice in portions put olive oil in pan about 1/2 inch and sliced garlic about 4 gloves cover simmer 30 min serve with garlic bread and dunk bread in olive oil yummy, serve with vegetables and I make Alfredo noodles with it. Now I have to get some to make.
My favorite way to cook round steak is to cut it up in pieces, sear the pieces in a fry pan with some hot oil then put the steak in a crock pot, add a can of stewed tomatoes, some green pepper chopped in medium size pieces, an onion chopped in medium size pieces and salt and pepper to taste. Cook on high until tender, about 6 hours. When done, I thicken it with a cornstarch slurry till it’s like a gravy. Then I serve it poured over mashed potatoes. My favorite side with it is canned green peas.
I cut it in strips and then put tenderizer and a little Worcestershire sauce over it cover and let sit for about 30 minutes. Then I add onions and green bell peppers and the steak to a pan with a little oil ( just enough to coat the bottom of the pan) and cook on medium to low heat. When it’s done I’ll either make fajitas for dinner with it or add gravy to it and serve over mashed potatoes or rice. Both are good so I hope this helps.
I roll it in seasoned flour and brown it in frying pan. Put in crockpot and add a can of golden mushroom soup. Add about 1/2 soup can of water. Add sliced onion and cook on low 8 hours. I serve with mashed potatoes and use sauce for gravy over potatoes.
Beef Stroganoff
Slice thin, cook low and slow with some celery and onion. When meat is tender, add 2-3 can cream of mushroom soup and let simmer covered at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and add 8 ounce container of sour cream. Serve over rice or egg noodles.

I usually put in crockpot. Sometimes I mix a can of cream of mushroom soup with milk and pour over round steak and cook on low. Serve with mashed potatoes and use soup mixture as gravy over my mashed potatoes. Sometimes I pour a can or two over round steak and cook on low. Use tomato sauce as gravy over mashed potatoes.

When I buy round steak, have the butcher run it thru the tenderizer 3 times. Dredge it in seasoned flour….and slice some onions. Make plenty of seasoned flour. In crock pot, put a layer of meat, a layer of sliced onion, sprinkle flour mixture over it and repeat until you’re done layering. You don’t have to crowd the meat in there. Just cover meat with beef broth, and turn on low for 6 hrs. After about 4 hrs, stir it up a little. Will make its own gravy. Layer it in that order..the space between the onion and meat gives it some air to make the gravy
