I found your post very moving, family and traditions. My mum used to make spicy salami and dry them in the attic space. This was in the suburbs of the biggest city in Turkey. Turkish women make preps for winter months but salami is not one of them. I now live in England and attempt to bottle tomatoes in the summer 😊

Hence the name! Some of my dad’s family is Calabrese and they made the best salami. Love it. x
