I actually recently made a casserole with ground beef it was delicious. The recipe if you have it would be, 1 to 2lbs ground beef, 1 can cream of mushroom soup, 1 can of cheddar cheese soup, 1 cup of sharp cheddar cheese shredder, a bag of dived potatoes, a pinch of salt and pepper to taste. So what you would do is fully cook the meat, then grease a pan add the meat in it then add the soups on top and the frozen diced potatoes and then half cup of the cheddar shredded cheese, and the pinch of salt and pepper then mix it all together put aluminum foil over it and bake at 350 for 30min then take it out and add the rest of the Shredded cheese and put back in for another 30min without aluminum foil over it.

  6. You don’t always have to use bread or bread crumbs…alternatives are ritz crackers or club crackers…just crush up real fine…they give a sweeter taste to meatloaf and work just fine as a binder….

I make hamburger patties. season them how you like your patties and cook done and don’t drain the grease. Add a couple of cans of tomato soup. (The soup and grease together will make a sauce and it won’t taste like soup) let it simmer flipping the patties a few times about 15 minutes. I serve this with mashed potatoes and corn. My family even takes the sauce and uses it like gravy on their potatoes.

  8. A quick meatloaf. Buy a can 15.25 Oz of hunts seasoned tomato sauce for meatloaf. Go by the directions on it. It takes 2 lb ground beef and I used crushed up crackers actually twice as much as it called for. Go by the directions on the can use one half can in meatloaf two eggs salt and and pepper. I mixed this into a loaf and added bacon on top of my meatloaf. Baked at 400 for 1 hour and removed it and drained off the grease added the other half can of Hunts seasoned tomato sauce for meatloaf on top of the meatloaf. Baked another 10 minutes at 400. Allowed to set 10 minutes before slicing. Delicious

Modern meat pie: brown the ground beef like for spaghetti or tacos with garlic powder and onion powder. Make mashed potatoes while the beef is browning. Drain the ground beef make your favorite brown gravy. Mix ground beef and gravy then pour into a casserole dish. Top with mashed potatoes then sprinkle with sharp cheddar cheese. Bake at 375 for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted

We are all sick here at home, so we made a pot of vegetable beef soup. Just use everything you can think of in the fridge pantry and freezer.

I used beefy mushrooms soup and added sautéed onions and mushrooms thickened with flour and a little milk and water added in rare cooked hamburgers to finish cooking served over mashed potatoes

Salisbury steaks with brown mushroom gravy. I mix ground beef with onion soup mix, form patties, then mix a pack of brown gravy with 2 cups of beef broth, add cream of mushroom soup and fresh or canned mushrooms if you want, and lots of onions. You can make it in the crockpot or bake in the oven. Just put the patties on the bottom and pour the gravy mixture over the top. I don’t have the times and temps in front of me but a Google search will give you the answer

  14. I never use bread/crumbs in ground meat. I grew up with oatmeal as an addition for patties/meatballs. You could make Salsbury Steak with patties including S & P, oatmeal, garlic powder and an egg. I brown patties in my heavy dutch oven – take them out then brown onions and mushrooms and add a little beef broth and a can of mushroom soup til its all a nice brown gravy. Return patties and cook until done and hot. Serve with mashed potatoes or rice and some veggies.

I thawed out what I believed to be a pound pkg hamburger BUT halfway through defrosting saw it was two pound. I went ahead and added diced onion when halfway cooked and divided in half for tacos later and today I added tomato paste, water, one half can of drained mexicorn to it, seasoned with salt and pepper and will blanch my two peppers and make stuffed peppers for dinner tonight. I usually add rice to the mixture but am having leftover macaroni and cheese so fidn’t want pasta overload.

Salisbury steaks. I make the pattie, add your seasoning. I boil mine for a few minutes in a small amount of water and beef broth. Then toss in the oven. Pour gravy over, and serve with rice or potatoes.

Hobo packs.. Beef patty topped with whatever veggies you like wrapped in foil. I’ve done potatoes and carrots, zucchini, bell pepper. Sprinkle whatever seasonings you like and bake for 30-40 min. You can also add cheese!
If it’s not too hot where you are soup is always a good option if you have any broth. Kidney beans, black beans, can of tomatoes, green beans, corn, potatoes, whatever veggie you like.. I have an instant pot so I just brown the meat then put it in the pot for 20-30 min. Or crock pot!
Taco salad if it’s too hot for soup!

  18. We do hamburger meat, squash, bacon, potatoes and jalapeños all cooked in a pan. SO GOOD.

  19. I take and cook meat, drain, add diced carrots potatoes onions bell pepper green beans tomatoes garlic salt and pepper and 2 cups of water. I let this cook for 30 to 45 minutes with a tight fitting lid on medium low and I pick out a tablespoon or 2 of the potatoes. I mash them up and then add about 1 cup of the broth in the pot to them. Stir and all it back to the pot and stir. This makes the stew kinda thick and I serve it with bread rice or cornbread.😋😋😋😋 I also love pork and beans and hamburger! Cook meat drain and cook some more till very dry. And drain again!! Open beans and turn burner on HIGH add beans garlic powder and onion and a can of water. Bring to a boil and stir good. Cut on medium low heat and cook till the liquid is almost gone. Serve with bread of your choice. This is a meal I make when I am tired or just wanting to taste my Grandmama’s old fashioned food!

Hamburger, eggs & rice. Cook rice according to directions and serving size. In the meantime brown hamburger with seasonings (we use salt, pepper and minced onions or onion powder), don’t drain. Add the rice when it’s done stir it around. Mix a couple eggs with milk(we do 1 egg per 2 people). Stir egg mixture into beef, keep stirring til eggs are done! My family loves this!

  21. In Hawaii we make “dinner in a dish”. Brown hamburger, drain grease. Add salt pepper garlic powder, onion powder, one can tomato sauce. Simmer for 15 minutes, add can of corn. Can add one can of green beans as well. Serve over rice

    Stovetop meatloaf

▢ 1 tablespoon olive oil (extra virgin)
▢ 2 lbs ground beef (80-85% lean ground beef)
▢ 6 oz Stove Top Stuffing (boxed mix)
▢ ¼ cup milk (beef broth or water can work)
    ▢ 1 large egg
▢ 8 tablespoon ketchup (divided in half, half in the loaf the other half on top of the meatloaf – you also can use tomato paste or BBQ sauce)
    ▢ 1 tablespoon garlic (minced)
▢ 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning (or chopped parsley)
▢ 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
▢ 1 teaspoon each, salt & pepper (to taste)

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease the interior of your loaf pan.
In a large mixing bowl add the ground beef, stuffing mix, milk, egg, half of the ketchup, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and all the seasoning. Reserve 4 tablespoons of the ketchup (or tomato paste or BBQ sauce) for the topping.
Using clean hands or latex gloves, mix all ingredients thoroughly until well incorporated.
Put the meat mixture into your loaf pan, press it evenly throughout the pan. Go along the edges and push down with your fingers or a spoon to create a well.
Spread the remaining 4 tablespoon of ketchup (or tomato paste or BBQ sauce) over the top of the meatloaf.
Bake in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for an hour or continue baking until meatloaf reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (72°C).
Remove from the oven and allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes before serving.

My mom always put a slice of bread in the bottom of a bowl and poured a little milk and an egg on top let it get soft mashed it with a fork added that to her meatloaf instead of breadcrumbs and then of course the rest of your ingredients

I had some ground beef the other day and made up my own recipe, I decided to call it cheeseburger casserole. I didn’t measure but I cooked the ground beef in a cast iron skillet with some seasonings; salt, pepper, paprika, hamburger seasoning, some diced onions and minced garlic. Then I melted some velvetta and a little milk into the drained hamburger. I then added a good amount of ketchup and mustard and mixed well. I then added sliced tomatoes and pickles on top. I then topped it off with crescent dough rolled out. I placed in the oven at 350 for 35 minutes. My family loved it!!
