I need help! I’ve been asked to make a dish for a wedding shower. It’s supposed to be a finger food or something snacky.. so far chicken salad croissants, BBQ cocktail weenies, and chips and dip are being provided and I cannot for the life of me think of anything else! It’s gonna have to feed around 30-40 people so the less money the better. Thanks in advance!

thank for the original creator Merri Hunter Hill

  1. Open several boxes of Lil Debbie Swiss Rolls unwrap them lay them out in a circular pattern or pyramid throw some powdered sugar on them and scatter strawberries for garnish. They are inexpensive and always get eaten!

  2. You could do a vegetable tray with dip, a fruit tray, pepperoni/cheese/crackers. Sam’s club sells mini quiches x

  3. Rubigale Christy-Gail Fitzanko

Some sort of pasta salad is easy and tastes great. Make the day before it tastes better.

  4. Sounds like you need a fruit or veggie to go with that. I would keep it simple with a tray of either.

Ok, that’s a lot of comments! Idk if I’m close to the end of them, but I think I’m gonna have to try the ham pickle roll up things considering how many ppl suggested them and maybe the cucumber sandwiches too…and the meatballs with grape jelly WHAT?!

get frozen meatballs put chili sauce apricot jelly and crushed pineapple in crockpot for that many people I get them at Sam’s Club or Costco for the meatballs 2 bags they are fully cooked I would quick cook 2nd bag of meatballs and have in a container to refill crockpot huge crowd pleasers they go fast

  7. A package or two of cheddar little smokies and one or two packages of croissant biscuits. Open the croissants, unroll them and slice each individual croissant into 3-4 smaller triangles, depending on how much bread you want. Wrap the croissant pieces around individual lil smokies and bake according to croissant package directions. Cheap and easy.

Veggie pizza or individual fruit pizzas.

Meatballs in bbq/jelly sauce. Easy, too. Frozen meatballs and sauce in a crockpot. Done.

Sweet and sour meatballs, Italian meatballs, with soy sauce, Catalina dressing, Worcestershire sauce, and apricot jelly, mix with meatballs and it’s so yummy. It’s a bit at all the parties I have.

Wrap a piece of bacon around each
    little smokie,

Place the smokies on the foil,

Mix together 2 cups of brown sugar and 1 cup of honey and microwave until you can stir and able to pour over bacon wrapped little smokies

Also if taking a desert is an option you could do a coconut slice, apple pie/crumble slice, brownies, cheesecake bites, scones, profiteroles, cookies, mini banoffee tarts etc.

    Cucumber bread!
French bread or baguette, mayo, cream cheese, dry Italian or ranch dressing and dill! Simple and easy and a great classy cocktail/ shower appetizer!

  17. Kristina M. Stoller

Fresh fruit… strawberries, grapes (red and green) and blueberries. Dip..equal parts of soft cream cheese and Fluff. Mix well. Add some toothpicks or mini forks and everyone will love it.

  18. Loraine Russell

Crockpot meatballs instead of BBQ sauce use Marinara or spaghetti sauce add a little bit of mozzarella cheese to the top it is fantastic feeds lots of people you could even get some Hawaiian rolls so they could make sub sandwiches

  19. Fruit kabobs you can use watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberry, blackberries, grapes whatever fruit you want then if you want you can make a glaze 4 Tbsp honey
Juice of 1 large lemon about 3 Tablespoons
Juice of 1 medium orange about 1/4 cup

  20. Vegetable Roll Up: Get flour tortillas and spread any flavor of cream cheese you like (I like the Onion and chive), Finely chop various colored peppers, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, cucumbers, black olives — whatever you prefer. Sprinkle veggies all over the cream cheese. Roll up the tortillas as tightly as you can, refrigerate overnight. The next day slice tortillas into rounds, not to thick, layer on a pretty disposable tray from the dollar store and serve. You can put several layers on the tray. I use those cute little tongs that the dollar stores sell so people don’t have to touch the food and I don’t care if I get the tray or tongs back!

  21. This recipe is so easy. Everything mixed into one casserole dish. Plus, it’s a family favorite. Cut them into bite size squares.

  22. I always make a variety of pinwheels. My grandkids love Little smokies wrapped in bacon or crescent rolls. Also bbq meatballs or my favorite is homemade sloppy joes on slider buns.

Rotel cheese dip – 1 large block of Velveeta, 1lb of Hamburger, drained, 1 can of mild Rotel tomatoes (the original is kinda spicy if you want spice, but I do mild for crowds). You can also add a block of cream cheese to make it more creamy, but that’s optional. Serve with tortilla chips – it makes a huge batch. I just throw all of it in a crock pot and stir every 30 mins or so.

What about a mashed potato bar! They had it at a wedding i went to a few years back. Mashed potatoes kept warm, scoop into small bowls and all the fixings to sprinkle on-cheese, sour cream, bacon bits, green onion. It was a huge hit

  25. Here’s what I did for my daughter’s birthday party
Eggs frozen mini waffles, bags of frozen chicken nuggets cook each, break apart the minis and make little nugget sandwiches secure with fancy toothpick little condiment cups of hot honey and maple syrup or maple flavored pancake syrup works too.

  26. Make Assorted finger sandwiches. Like Cucumber and cream cheese, tomato, etc. They are also called tea sandwiches.

  27. Make meatballs and keep them in a large slow cooker. I usually use Italian meatballs mix in Heinz chili sauce and a jar of grape jelly. Sometimes I use two jars of the Heinz chili sauce. Heat on high until all the meatballs and sauce is hot. Keep on low as long as you want. Serve with cocktail toothpicks. You can always add more meatballs as needed

  28. Grape jelly meatballs are always a hit

Fruit salad, a lot of fruit is on sale now due to summer

Take triscuits, a little spread of flavored cream cheese (garlic & herb, garlic & chive, harvest vegetable) halve a grape tomato and then a sprinkle of everything but the bagel seasoning

  29. Deviled eggs. An old-school classic that everyone forgets about but everyone still loves! Keep them simple and creamy and delicious, or fancy them up.

  30. Cindy Jimenez Kennedy

Do cucumber herb cream cheese finger sandwiches. Cut the crust off and cut into wedges. Marinate mozzarella balls & cherry tomatoes in balsamic vinegar and olive oil with some basil seasoning then put together with a tooth pick and a basil leaf.

  31. Little Hawaiian roll sandwiches one slice meat folded in half 2x and 1/4 slice cheese fits perfect and stays well without refrigerator.

  32. Veggie tray …those jelly meatballs with maybe some Hawaiian sweet rolls for mini sliders

Homemade Chex mix is super easy and my mom used to make a big bowl of plain M&Ms, salty peanuts, and raisins together. It made a large quantity and easy to just grab a handful and snack on.
