I love smoked sausage with green beans and potatoes. But how do I get it to taste better. I just boil it in water, butter, salt and pepper. But I eat other people’s and it’s so much better thanks

  1. Marinate it all in some rosemary.thyme
    And olive gardens Italian dressing
    Throw on baking sheet covered and then uncovers after potatoes are tender so things can get crispy edges.

  2. I try cut up potatoes in oil and a little butter until they are starting to soften, then I add cut up onion and sliced or bigger pieces of the sausage, cover with a lid and let it steam until done

    Don’t put the smoked sausage in until the end. I even cook it separate and add it. I prefer it pan fried.

  4. Fry the sausage with some white onion and the sliced potatos, salt and pepper and garlic salt. You can use green onion too. When it is done add the green beans. It will be delicious!

    I fry potatoes using bacon grease with onion, about 1/2 way done add sliced sausage, the green beans finish cooking together until potatoes are done.

  6. Fry sausage, garlic, onions then green beans, while that’s happening, par boil the potatoes (cubed or sliced) for ten minutes, drain and then add oil or butter to the sausage/beans and fry the potatoes until crisp.

  8. I usually use ham but smoked sausage would be good . I let the ham simmer in water for an hour before adding the green beans and potatoes. That way the cooking water gets hammy or ( sausagey) If you have it chicken broth is good too

  9. I make everything separately and combine at the end. Fry your sausage in a skillet first. Boil your potatoes. Cook your green beans in butter with salt and pepper. Toss everything together and serve.

  10. I cook bacon add the grease and crumble the bacon up in it I also use a lil bit of garlic powder and seasoning salt

  11. I cook mine in the crock pot all day with some of the green bean juice (if I use canned) and some butter. Also use some bacon grease if I have some.

    I have done green beans and potatoes in a white sauce…. Never put the kielbasa or sausage in but I bet it would be good.

    I fix mine in a skillet. I add spices to mine.. anything you like. I also add potatoes too. Sometimes instead of green beans I’ll use okra and sometimes add yellow rice. Yummy!

  14. I put butter onion and garlic in a pan and cook them with salt pepper and season salt and everything else separately and than mix together at the end and add cheese. So good

  15. I saute the sliced sausage in margarine,add diced onion,then cut up potatoes and drained cans of green beans. I season with steak seasoning. Sometimes I add additional margarine.
    Boiling puts all the flavours in the water,not the food.

    I pan fry the sausage to release some oil.. Then toss in the potatoes. Pout 2 cans of beans over and put on lid. When the potatoes are almost fork tender i remove lid. Cook off juice turning occasionally.

    I make mine on a sheet pan. Toss all in olive oil and add Uncle Chris seasoning cover with foil and bake at 425 for 30-45 minutes. Comes out amazing!!!

    Don’t boil anything… many better ways to saute, grill or roast to bring out natural flavors.

    Fry the potatoes til crispy then add the sausage sliced and onion chopped Fry til brown add the beans and finish with a little garlic.

  20. Put it all in a 9×13, all together, side by side, sprinkle some Italian dressing powder mix over it, put some pads of butter on top, cover it with foil and put it in the oven!! Works
     best to put some chicken in there too!!!

  21. Simmer your sausage in cheap beer for an hour or so. Then throw the sausage, potatoes and greenbeans in the oven on a sheet pan at 350 till cooked through. Srason with powdered italian dressing ans cracked black pepper with pats of butter throughout. Once cooked, put under the broiler to crisp things up.

    I make them all the time but I never use water. I add a couple tablespoons of butter saute onion and peppers, add sausage fry a bit, add more butter, green beans, potatoes salt and pepper. Simmer until beans and potatoes are hot. I use a large, deep skillet.

I literally just slice the sausage and throw it on a foil lined sheet pan (that I’ve sprayed with cooking spray), add the green beans and potatoes and drizzle olive oil over every thing (I use my hands to make sure it’s all coated) then sprinkle a packet of dry Italian dressing mix over everything and then bake it until the potatoes and nice and crispy. It’s so easy and everyone loves it. And only one pan to wash and it’s not even that hard to clean because of the foil. 🙂

    I cut up a couple onions and a green bell pepper if I have it in some coconut oil till they are soft, I remove them from the pan and add some coconut oil to the same pan and cook the sliced up sausage once there done I remove them to. Then add the taters to the pan and as it cooks I add garlic powder, seasoning salt or salt and some pepper. And stir it some so the seasoning gets on all of it I also add more oil to the taters if I need it. Once taters are to my liking I add the sausage and veggies back to it and stir to mix them all together and then do a taste test to see how it is if its not seasoned enough add more seasonings. Have not had any complaints yet lol.

  26. Don’t boil it in water. Brown sausage and some onion. Place green beans and potatoes in a bowl and add butter and Cajun seasoning. Toss well and add sausage. Place in casserole dish and cover with foil. Bake at 350 for 50-60 mins.

    I cut up the potatoes and put in beef broth and beefy onion soup mix and then the green beans (if fresh) til cooked and add sausage at the very end. If I use canned green beans I just use the liquid in the cans with the beefy onion soup mix and cook the potatoes til done then add the sausage.

    Garlic powder , onion powder , a little bouillion ,

    But sauté the sausage and onions before you add green beans and sauté them a few minutes before adding any water . Add plenty of salt and pepper . I also use garlic powder and onion Powder ,
    Lemon pepper , bouillion ,
    A dash or so of hot sauce .
    Don’t add too much water at once . You may be using too much water . You can always add more water along but if you add too much it isn’t going to be tasty so don’t do it all

    I do it as a sheet pan dinner. I put quartered potatoes in a ziplock bag. Along with carrots and fresh green beans. Add 2 to 3 tablespoons olive oil and salt pepper any seasonings you like. Toss it around in the bag till all is coated evenly. Cut the sausage into rounds and put on a sheet pan also veggies. Bake at 400 for about 40 minutes. It is so good! So easy!

  30. I slice mine then cook in about an inch of water. Let the water boil all of the way down until the sausage starts to brown. Then I add amount 1/2 inch of water to the pan to get the flavor off the pan back onto the sausage. Cook down again.

    Put it in a rectangle cake pan. Green beans on one side. Sausages cut up down the middle. Your potatoes on the other side. I like to drizzle a little bacon grease over it cover with foil. Back on 350 for about Hour to hour and a half. Or untill potatoes are fork tender

  32. I do smoked sausage (brown it using butter in a frying pan) in macaroni it is a huge hit at my house and when you get both things from dollar tree it’s 2 meals worth for $2.50 and that’s if you don’t have any other sides I try to add mixed veggies in it when I have them on hand
