We don’t use soup at all….

A layer of cooked ground beef and onion..
    A layer of peas…
    A layer of creamed corn….
Mashed potatoes in the top! ☺️
    Easy Peasy!

Shepards pie is just ground beef mixed with onion soup in a can, a layer of mashed potatoes, a layer of corn, and shredded cheese on top.

A true shepherds pie is made with ground lamb, with peas, Carrots, and onions with mashed potatoes and cheese on top.

I have a easy one. Brown pound of hamburger and drain. Add a can of drained peas and carrots. Take a package of brown gravy mix and mix according to package with water and pour in to meat and vegetables. Then take mashed potatoes (I use instant 4 servings is just about enough) put that on top and sprinkle some parsley flakes on the potatoes and bake till starts to lightly browns.

Fry the hamburger then drain. Add back to pan and add a can cream of mushroom soup. U@ually a can per pound or so. Preheat oven to about 375-400. In a casserole dish layer mashed potatoes, then hb mix, then green beans, then more taters on top. I like string beans if possible. If your using frozen veggies best to pre cook a bit. Sometimes I’ll cheat and use instant mp for a quick meal. Sometimes put cheese on top. Bake until top layer is golden and a bit crispy. Mmmmm

It isn’t much of a “recipe” but I just brown some hamburger (sometimes I add onions) – add spices of your choosing, S&P, garlic powder, onion powder, etc. Drain. Make brown gravy and add it to the hamburger. I also like to add some mixed vegetables to the meat/gravy. Put in the bottom of a casserole dish. Make your mashed potatoes. I whip my potatoes but you’ll want them a little thicker for this recipe. Spread a thick layer of mashed on top of the meat mixture. You can top with nothing and use additional gravy when you serve it. Or, you can top it with either cheese or the french fried onions. Bake it for about 20-30 minutes – long enough that the entire dish is heated through. Serve with a salad or a warm roll. Easy, cheap and tasty!

    My shepherds pie consists of
Layer of 1 pound cooked with ground beef and small onion
1 can whole corn undrained poured over hamburger
    Layer mashed potatoes
Put in 350 oven for half hour

Cook a medium size pot of potatoes. When done mash them and add milk and butter.
Cook hamburger and small finely chopped onion. When done drain hamburger and add a can of Heinz tomato soup. Put hamburger mixture in a casserole dish and top it off with your mashed potatoes. I usually spread a bit of butter on top.Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 mins. Our family loves it this way. If you don’t like tomato soup in it you can also make a gravy with your hamburger and have it that way.
