I am looking for a dish that is completely different it doesn’t have to be cheap…

I am looking for a dish that is completely different it doesn’t have to be cheap.
No spaghetti
No tacos
No goulash
Nothing of that nature.

Something good and different. Like I said dosent necessarily have to be cheap.

Something good and savory!

    I made Chile rellenos Last week , and I’ll make them tomorrow. My family enjoyed them . Anaheim Chile , cheese, flour and eggs.

  2. I have done a pork stuffed pork roast. Get a bones pork roast, Italian sausage, sweet sausage, kale and provolone cheese. I cut the roast as flat as I could to hammer out. I cooked the sausage and kale, put a layer of cheese and a layer of sausage and roll the pork loin up as much as possible. Tie or poke with skewers to hold together. Cook on 350 until done. It’s really good and different (I’m sure if you don’t like kale it wouldn’t hurt not having it) I’ll try to find a picture and post

    1. Rinse potatoes and cut into Cubs
    2. Bring water to a boil and boil potatoes for 10 minutes
    3. Mix potatoes with milk (go easy and add a little at a time until liking), butter,sour cream, salt, onion powder, garlic powder

  5. Poke bowls, homemade ramen, Spanish rice, crab Rangoons, Hawaiian bbq sliders, last night I made this crab and shrimp Mac and cheese. Was a hit.

    And then mix up a sauce from an avocado, a splash of lemon juice, coconut milk, paprika, and Himalayan salt.

    It’s pretty decent with chicken if you want meat to go with it, but I usually just eat it by itself.

  7. I make what we call Mexican chicken. Layer a 9 x 13 inch pan with cubed potatoes, put 1/2 pack of taco seasoning on the potatoes, add a layer of cubed chicken(uncooked ) on top of the potatoes. Put remaining pack of taco seasoning. I use 2 cans of rotel and 1 can of black beans on top. Cover, bake 45 min. at 400 degrees. Remove cover, add shredded cheese, then bake for 15 min. I then make corn cakes to serve with it.

  8. Cheesy chicken
    Boneless skinless chicken breast dipped in egg, coated in Shake and Bake that has been mixed with some parm cheese. Bake and just when it’s done you over cover it is cheddar cheese, broil until it’s all melted and yummy. Enjoy!

    1# 80/20 ground beef
    1 onion chopped
    1/2 beef bullion cube
    1/2 C water
    Peppe to taste
    1 1/2T soy sauce
    1 1/2T steak sauce

    Cook beef and onion, crumble and drain. Add rest of ingredients. Simmer 30 min stirring occasionally. Serve on buns with pickles and ketchup/mustard.

I made a new meal for us tonight (we’ve not tried it but I’m sure others have) but I took kabasa and sliced it then cut the slices into fours (I’ve got small children) fried that up in a skillet with and fine cut sliced red peppers and mixed it with some pasta and pasta sauce with a tad bit of Parmesan was absolutely delicious and everyone ate it no complaints (for once in my life lol)

  11. Layer in greased pan: meat that has been dredged in flour seasoned with salt and pepper. Top with sliced onions, sprinkle with flour, top with sliced potatoes, sprinkle with flour, can top with peas/carrots/green beans, sprinkle with flour. Mix 1 can cream of something soup with 1/2 can chicken or beef broth. Pour over meat/potatoes mix. Bake 350 x 1 hr. Meats you can use: cube steak, pork cutlets or chops, smoked pork chops or ham steaks, chicken pieces-bone in or boneless. May need to double soup/broth depending on thickness of meat or how many servings. Freeze in foil pans with lids. Thaw in refrigerator before baking.

    Crock pot or pan ..bag of frozen potato shreads. Cream cheese. Sour cream. Butter. Bacon or ham chunks. Shreaded cheese. Mix it all up and add to a pan to bake or crock pot. I add onions too that i cook ahead and add in. A can of cream of chicken works too in it

    This turned out so delicious! I made tuna cakes(just like you would crab cakes but with tuna) with tartar sauce, and for the brussel sprouts I sauté them with bacon and maple syrup it’s soooo good! You can make another side but I keep things pretty simple.

Chicken fried chicken steak , I use the chicken tenders and pound them down before doing the egg and then flour and fry them up you get a good size chicken tender and it makes a good size steak , mash potatoes and home made gravy with the drippings from frying them . And then a salad or a mix veggie side . My family just loves it .

I tried something different the other day for chicken breast cut into small pieces then put Italian bread cumbs in bowl put chicken in and cote them in a fri pan 1 stick of butter get melted fry chicken till done then add 4 packs of chicken gravey in the chicken and butter idioho instant garlic mash taters make on side when both done serve the chicken gravey over mashed taters my with a side of corn or ur choice veggies my son tells me ots should be illegal and he is picky

    We made a alfredo recently that we added roasted sundried tomatoes to and then added a red bell pepper that we roasted on a grill with olive oil, sliced thin. Then added moz with it too, on your choice of noodle, it was soooo good and very similar to something olive garden used to have

    I love to get a boneless turkey breast and cook in crockpot with just a little salt, pepper, butter and water. Cook all day and it is so yummy.

  18. Hamburger soup ..2 cans veg-all best if you use the homestyle 1 can tomatoe sauce fry hamburger meat strain it well and add to veg-all and tomatoes sauce simmer add salt and pepper to taste usually on takes 30 min.serve while warm .

  19. Oregano Lemon Chicken. I usually use thighs, but you could use other pieces as well. Olive oil, oregano, garlic, honey, lemon juice. Pour over chicken. Bake for about 50 minutes, basting occasionally.

  20. I make chicken noodles casserole. You can google the recipe under dale Earnhardts chicken noodle casserole. Only change I make is I cut the parmesean cheese in half.

  21. 1) Yellow rice, baked chicken breast with seasoning (I like garlic, Larry’s seasoning salt and pepper, or do a lemon pepper seasoning) and a side of green beans w/ diced new potatoes and real bacon bits (simmered for a few minutes).
    2) Pan fried pork chops (melt butter and minced garlic, sear pork chops on each side, cover and finish cooking). After done, add asparagus to pan and sauté till tender. Make mashed potatoes as a side.

    One of my go toos. I add 4 bell peppers (one of each color) in long slices, slap yo momma Cajun seasonings and double up the recipe with a little extra Parmesan cheese. I usually put 2 smoked sausages, one hot and one normal. My picky eaters mow it down. Super yummy, cheap and ready in less than 30 mins.

  23. Perfect Prime Rib
    1 prime rib roast with or without bone (any size)
    Garlic powder
    Salt
    Pepper
    Directions
    Preheat oven to 550F degrees.
    Make a rub of salt, pepper and garlic powder and apply to meat. Place meat in a shallow roasting pan fat side up.
    Roast at 550 at 5 minutes per pound for RARE, or 6 minutes per pound for MEDIUM and 7 minutes per pound for WELL DONE.
    Turn off oven at the end of cooking time and DO NOT OPEN OVEN DOOR FOR TWO HOURS.
    At the end of the 2 hours, remove meat from oven to slice; it comes out perfect everytime.
    Works the same with Roast beef.

    Take either sweet or hot sausage, cut it into slices then brown in a pan with a little EVOO and some garlic and saute the sausage. While that is cooking, slice up zucchini and/or yellow squash. Put the slices in a bag and season with garlic, oregano, black pepper and shake to coat all. Once sausage is done, add the sliced zucchini to the pan, put in 1 or 2 beef builllon cubes, add a can of diced tomatoes. Stir, cover and let cook on low light. You can eat plain once the zucchini is tender, or boil some bow tie pasta and serve after that once drained. Top with grayed parmesan cheese. Chef’s kiss! A one pan wonder dish.

  25. Southwestern chicken: Fry a couple of pounds of boneless, skinless chicken thigh bite-sized chunks with a packet of taco seasoning in a little oil.

    Prepare 2 cups Minute rice and place in bottom of 9 x 13 pan.

    Drain and rinse the following, then mix together:
    1 can black beans
    1 can Rotel tomatoes
    1 small can chiles

    Add 1 jar black bean salsa
    Add 1/4 cup Italian dressing
    Add prepared chicken
    Mix all together

    Pour over rice
    Top with 8 Oz Mexican blend cheese
    Bake 30 minutes or until cheese is fully melted at 350.

    Serve with tortilla chips and sour cream.

    I make shrimp avocado wraps I love them. I marinate the shrimp in minced garlic & onions & olive oil sat and pepper. You don’t need a big bag, I grill them or pan fry them in the marinade. I then put them in lettuce cups with sliced avocado and eat it with seasoned rice so so good

  27. Get Turkey slices(#2 or #3 cut) make up stuffing them roll up Turkey with stuffing mixture inside. Cover with Turkey gravy and bake. Very simple and good

    We love chicken fried rice, sausage & shrimp jambalaya, lasagna, enchiladas or enchilada casserole. Kids fav meal is “chicken fingers” and fries. I just grill pounded out , seasoned chicken breast slice it into “fingers” they dip it in chik filet sauce. Meatless Monday is instapot pinto beans and warmed corn tortillas with a little butter. Oven baked Smokey pork chops.

  30. Sheet pan meals…My family loves when I slice kielbasa sausage and add diced onions, broccoli, zucchini and yellow squash lay it on a sheet pan and add seasoning of your choice and baked for about 20 min. Delish!

  31. Chicken breast, taco seasoning, a block of cream cheese (optional- I’ve made it with and without) drain a can of black beans and corn and put in the crockpot all day. We like to put it on tortillas and eat it.

    Another one is beef roast and one pack of Lipton onion soup mix, large can of cream of mushroom soup and a little water. Cook in crockpot all day. Makes the best gravy. I actually cook it so I can have the gravy and rice. My kids love the meat.

  34. Made chicken n dumplings for the first time last night and it was such a hit it was gone before I even got a bowl.
    Shredded rotisserie chicken
    2 cans cream of chicken soup
    One carton of chicken broth
    And buttermilk Pillsbury biscuits for the dumplings.

    Mix all but biscuit dough and heat til boiling.
    Then add dough chunks and let’s boil/simmer for 15 or 20 min. Everyone here had like 3 bowls 🙄🥰

    Salisbury Steak with Onion Gravy – 😍 OMG DONT LOSE IT
    Ingredients
    450 g ground beef (1 pound)
    475 ml beef broth (2 cups)
    40 g chopped onions (1/4 cup)
    1 large onion, sliced
    35 g breadcrumbs (1/3 cup)
    70 g sliced ​​mushrooms (1 cup)
    25 g cornstarch (3 tsp)
    1 egg
    45 ml of water (3 tablespoons)
    1 teaspoon of salt
    Take a big bowl
    Mix the beef, breadcrumbs, 40g onion, egg, salt and black pepper
    Separate into 4
    Cooking in a pan for 10 min
    Add beef broth, sliced ​​onion and mushrooms
    Bring to a boil
    Turn heat to low, cover, and cook until steaks are no longer pink in center (about 10 minutes)

    Look at trying curry if you can afford the spices. Bulk bags of spices online are often only a little more than tiny containers from the grocery store, so that’s how I fit it into my budget.

  37. Get you a chuck roast and sear it on both sides. Throw it in a Dutch oven with a stick of butter, a pack of au jus mix, a pack of ranch mix and a handful of pepperoncini peppers. Cook it at 275 for a few houses until it pulls apart. Put it on a bun with cheese and a few slices of pepper. I smoke the roast for a couple hours and then finish in a Dutch oven on the smoker. Doesn’t heat up the house. That’s my version of MS pot roast. You can get variations if you Google it.

  38. Stuffed “buns”. Frozen bread dough, thawed and raised a bit. Cut in 4-5 hunks. Spread dough out with floured hands or roll a bit with rolling pin. Fill with taco or pizza fillings. Close dough and pinch to seal so they look like big round dough balls. Put on cookie sheet and bake for about 30 min or until golden at 350. Brush with butter.. enjoy.

    Carbonara. Cube pancetta or thick bacon.. boil linguine. Beat 6 egg yolks and 1 whole egg with salt and heavy cracked pepper.. mince 2 cloves garlic, add to bacon one minute before taking off element..drain pasta… add pasta to bacon/pancetta.. add 3 heaping tbsp of parmesan cheese to egg.. whisk and then use tongs to toss egg mix with pasta… toss until evenly coated.. plate with cracked pepper and more parm..

  41. My dad’s jambalaya

    Jambalaya

    1/2 lb andouille sausage

    1/2 lb chicken breast

    1/2 l pork loin

    1 onion

    1 green pepper

    1 can tomatoes with green chiles

    1/2 tsp liquid smoke (optional)

    1-3 tbsp cajun seasoning

    1 1/2 cup rice

    1 tbsp olive oil

    2 1/2 cups water

    Dice onion and pepper into equal size pieces

    Dice meat into equal size pieces

    In a large pot, brown meat in olive oil. Add onion and peppers and cook about 10 minutes over medium heat. Add seasoning, liquid smoke and tomatoes and simmer about 10 minutes.

    Add the water and rice, stir and bring to a boil. Turn heat on low, cover and cook about 20-25 minutes. After the rice is done. stir and serve.

    Use the lesser amount of seasoning if you don’t want it too hot. You can always add more when you serve. I like cornbread or hard italian bread served with this.

  42. Simple Salisbury steaks! So yummy! I serve with mashed potatoes! My family loves these!

    Patties:
    1 lb Lean Ground Beef
    1/3 cup Bread Crumbs
    2 tsp Ketchup
    1 tsp Mustard
    1 tsp Worcestershire
    1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
    1/2 tsp Onion Powder

    Gravy:
    2 packets Brown Gravy Mix
    2 cup hot Water
    1 tsp Ketchup
    1/2 tsp Worcestershire

    Instructions:
    Combine all pattie ingredients in a large bowl and massage with your hands until ingredients are incorporated.
    Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
    Cook patties on both sides until no longer pink.
    Lower temperature to low.
    Whisk together gravy mix and water until well blended.
    Whisk in ketchup and Worcestershire and pour over patties in skillet.
    Allow to simmer until gravy warms and thickens.

    * I usually add one small jar of mushrooms drained before I pour the gravy mix on)

    Chicken curry!
    Saute a little minced garlic and chopped tomato. Add chicken salt pepper garlic curry powder red pepper flakes. Cook until done add one can coconut milk diced potato fresh green beans cover simmer 20 minutes served over rice. Goes great with Naan bread
