  1. Thank you for all you do ,I am enjoying your video. when ever I try making Akara, it comes out flat, odd shapes , and burnt, each time I put a new scoop of beans into the frying pan the new scoop floats and attach to the other ones in the frying pan. what a mess! . do you have to press out the oil , I use peanut oil

  2. I am learning more about my Yoruba roots that go back to Nigeria. We make a dish similar to this. I can see how the traditions are even in what I know. Amazing. I can't wait to make these!

  3. Sis Yemisi.U are blessed. Tried out my akara this weekend, it came out great for the first time. Thank you for the tip about putting enough oil in the pan. ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜

  4. Not "karaka" though ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„ kids are the cutest. Before my son could speak properly, he used to call shawarma "shayaman". His first milkshake was homemade and some days later, he was asking for banana juice ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„. We had no idea because we had never bought nor given him banana juice till I was sitting around one day and it suddenly occurred to me, "oh my God, there was banana puree in the milkshake that's why he called it banana juice".
