  1. wow some real nasty comments in here..she asked an innocent question.. I thought this group was for helping each other..not everyone grew up learning how to cook.

  2. This is the first time I’ve ever heard of anyone even considering boiling lettuce, is this a genuine misconception that some people have or?

    Unless you want to fall asleep faster and drink the water, don’t boil it. It can be substituted for the bun for burgers

  4. I think maybe you’re thinking of cabbage rolls. You boil the cabbage to fill them with meat. But you don’t ever want to cook or boil lettuce

  5. Pull off one leaf at a time, rinse, pat dry and leave dry, put anything you like in them, egg salad, Tuna, chicken. Chicken Caesar salad fixings, ham salad, Italian hoagie fixings. Endless

  6. We do this one;
    Preheat the oven to 200°C/180°C fan/Gas Mark 6. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
    Place the mini chicken fillets on the lined tray. Drizzle over a little olive oil, then sprinkle with black pepper. Roast for 10 minutes or until cooked through and the juices run clear. Remove from the oven and place to one side.
    Warm the wraps in the oven for 1 minute if you want to eat them warm.
    Slice the cooked chicken into thinner strips.
    Spread each wrap with a quarter of the hummus, top with lettuce leaves, then the chicken, then top that with some coleslaw and red onion, roll up and slice in half on the diagonal.
    Serve warm or cold.

    You just fill with what ever you normally would put in a wrap . . And use the lettus as the wrap or bun … never cook lettus

  8. I did two different kinds of meat, one with braised chicken thighs and brown rice, in the other with ground turkey carrots or crimini mushrooms and sweet corn.
